What is a Direct Cremation service?

A direct cremation service is an increasingly popular alternative to a traditional cremation service. It is a personal and dignified service.

  • You normally cannot view the deceased  or have the coffin rest at home.

  • There is no service prior to the cremation.

  • There is normally no one present at the cremation apart from the Funeral Director.

  • The cremation process is carried out the same way as a traditional cremation.

  • Your loved ones ashes are returned to you after the cremation as per a traditional funeral, normally within 3 working days.

Although, unlike other providers, we do offer variations in the service to personalise that final send off as much as we can. These options will be explained to you by a member of our team.

What is the cost?

 

The cost for our direct cremation service depends on your choice of Crematorium, Council residency fee's and doctors fee's. What we can assure you, is that our charges will be less expensive than all others for the services required & you receive.

Is there other companies who provide this type of service?

 

NO - We are the only localised company who specifically offer this type of service.

What Crematoriums do you use?

 

We use Roselawn and Newtownabbey Crematoriums in Northern Ireland and Lakelands Crematorium in Co.Cavan. We do not dictate where the cremation takes place.

What are the benefits of this service?

What makes Direct Cremation N.I different from other direct cremation providers?
 
  • We are based in Northern Ireland, meaning you deal directly with our fully qualified Funeral Director who offer a 24 hour service.
  • Your loved one is treated with the upmost dignity and respect. They will be dressed before being placed into a coffin.
  • We do not use a van to transport the deceased, we use a dignified, luxury & discreet Hearsette.
  • We have suitable premises to carry out the required service. 
  • Your fully qualified Funeral Director will personally guide you through the entire direct cremation process, from start to finish.
  • We do not have hidden costs. The cost we provide is the final cost with no extra charges.
  • We offer the option to personalise the service, such as coffin upgrades, vehicle upgrades and more, T's & C's apply.
  • All Direct Cremations have a funeral notice uploaded to maintain the level of personal service.
Although this service is for people who don't want a traditional Funeral, we work closely with our Funeral Director business, who can help you plan a Direct Cremation, but also have some traditional services, to ensure that the people left behind, get their chance to say goodbye in a way which helps dealing the death.
